In our system, I believe we do not use WEP, but we use an X500 login
ID/password. I suppose the network traffic is in the clear. I don't
worry about that because I use SSH for anything I want to protect.
You are right though - it would be very easy to get to our 4th floor and
even to get a room with a table and plug in your computer (maybe into an
ethernet port!). It might be harder to get onto the network though.
