Just realized I lied in the last email. I have a Kramer 450G, not a 2000. The 2000 is the updated version of what I have. Still a unique guitar, regardless.

I'll second all of Vern's info - it's all good.
I use http://www.harmony-central.com to find used stuff. There are forums there that might be a bit tough to wade through (there used to be *tons* of posts) but you can find just about anything. I found my Kramer aluminum neck (DMZ 2000, http://vintagekramer.com/alum.htm) through Harmony Central, and it just so happened a guy in Columbia saw my post and got ahold of me. He lived literally less than 15 minutes away and I got to see and play the beast before I bought it. Plus they have tons of gear reviews and a lot of info about the vintage synths that I can't afford but still lust after.
The coolest piece of gear I own is an Akai Headrush E1. I don't think Akai makes these anymore, but if you can find one, get it. It can do layered looping, delay and has a pretty strange tape echo simulator. It's a totally bizarre piece of equipment, but it can do some crazy stuff. Plugged into an effects loop with a BigMuffPi, using an Ebow and the tape echo/slap back settings on the Akai, you can get some trippy Fripp-esque sounds. Highly recommend. Line6 makes something similar but I can't remember the name of it.
I wish I could afford a nice guitar synth package to plug into my GarageBand sessions. But I can't so I'll just stop there ;)
