I'll have to study this for a while before I decide. Then something new
will come out and I'll wait then I'll wait again, then I'll be old and
I'll die wishing I'd made up my mind! Or maybe I'll just take my chances
and plunge in there. If EBay is any indicator, I can resell the used
device for a good price.

Thanks. I couldn't find the forum on guitarworks.com nor listings on
olga.net, but I did look at EBay and the prices seemed like retail prices
to me! I might have to stick with normal mailorder or go with local
vendors. Maybe adds in local papers or on bulletin boards at guitar shops
could be good. Don't musicians have to sell stuff to pay the rent
sometimes? ;-)

It looks like Roland GK-3 divided pickup would be a good option for me
because I could attach it to my strat, or any electric steel-stringed
guitar, and I'd be able to connect to a synth that can accept that kind of
input. I'm remembering that it is possible to have a different sound on
every string and maybe to have different sounds in different pitch ranges
within a string. It would be fun to get back into that one of these
years.

Thanks for all the great tips!

Mike
