On a more serious note, there *are* New features in gmail for the
one-year anniversay.

1) Rich text formatting (sigh).  Uses embedded CSS and html to do
special effects <b>like this</b>.

I say: lame, since if God wanted us to send non-ASCII email
then...well, I'm just a curmdgeon.  This also seems to be busted
unless your recipient is part of the public beta for rtf.  I'm
guessing this might be prototyping for a simple word-processing web
app.  Now, that *could* be pretty useful down the road.  99% of all of
the papers in my psych class could be done more simply and handled
more elegantly with something like this.

2) They binked up the amount of storage in your account.  They say
they'll get up to 2 GB and beyond.  Somebody has a sense of humor
here, since mine only went up to 1.414 GB. :-)
