at the rate of about one per work week.Probably so. I seriously think I 
could have written a better ecomm package than OSCommerce in the time 
it's taken me to just try to fix all the damaged code in this package. 
I'm selectively reprogramming the parts that were totally unusable but 
it's made interesting thanks to OSC's odd use of constants, 
HTTP_GET_VARS, a databse that is a nightmare, total lack of code 
structure, etc.

At my current job I've been cranking out full dynamic sites, complete 
with admin interface and everything, at about one a week. I'm thinking 
it would take me about a week to prototype an ecomm package of similar 
features and probably another month to rewrite it all to be tightly 
secured and scalable. That'd end up being less time than I've spent 
fixing this. :p
