OK, I know several of you have heard me proselytize about Second Life, a
pretty unique virtual world in that you can create scripts and objects
very easily and get to retain all intellectual property rights...
Here's an interesting story about how one guy is cashing in on some of
his IP created inside SL:

Just thought this was cool, and I believe it's indicative of how virtual
worlds might become more useful for serious applications, much like
instant messaging has.
