My experience has been that if you like your pets you don't let them
play outside without your supervision anymore than you would a small
child. Coyotes, cars, other animals, and people are all things that have
killed my pets and which lead me to make my pets indoor pets whenever
possible.

Sadly most my pets seem to be gone now. I left them with my parents,
with more than adequate housing (pens for both cats and dogs), when I
moved to Las Vegas but my parents saw fit to set them all free so that
they 'could have more fun'. Being lazy people they didn't take the
responsibility to follow my rules and keep an eye on my pets when they
were running free. Evidently of my four dogs and two cats all I have
left is one dog. And then there is the issue that two cats and a dog of
mine had died in the previous six months before I moved thanks to my
parents breaking my rules when I wasn't home or was asleep. Needless to
say, if I ever have children my parents won't be allowed to babysit. I
really hate having pets. Regardless of how hard I try they always end up
dead. I am almost afraid to ever have children.
