But it does exist; google search for mp4. It does apparently have a
relationship to Mpeg4 and is apparently "structured audio". Now it
turns out that Mpeg4 Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) is the standard
underlying Apple's sound format for iTunes and the iTunes music store
(which sells DRM-protected AAC). Actually, I'd say the usage "mp4" is
a bit sloppy, but understandable given the ubiquity of mp3 and the
fact that MPEG-4 audio is a superior standard.
