OK, so this is lame unless (as I suspect) the "photographs" you get
are digital. But then it does become a completely killer accessory
for a lot of online stores, including, believe it or not, online
bookstores. Two or three times so far we'e bought used books over the
net, but each time we were worried that the seller's "excellent"
condition would turn out to mean "none of the pages are falling
out...yet". You can't judge a book by its cover, but you can often
judge a book's *condition* by its cover. :-)
But seriously, the killer app for something like this is actually
cataloguing stuff that comes from estates. Don't ask me why I know
this, but I'll say that if we could have rented one of these a few
years back when we were settling my mom's estate, it would have been
much easier to deal with some things more efficiently.
