Just a note: I am very much against piracy, but I am very much in support of fair use... My girlfriend's new iPod mini was having issues playing music that she purchased from the iTunes Music Store. I had to completely restore/reformat the iPod OS on the thing to get the purchased music to play. Totally, totally lame. ryan woodsmall EMAIL:PROTECTED ________________________________ From: EMAIL:PROTECTED on behalf of Mike Miller Sent: Sun 1/9/2005 8:44 PM To: MLUG Off-Topic Discussion Subject: [MLUG - DISCUSSION] iTunes music files (was "You had to know it was coming") By the way, if I really need an iPod to play iTunes files, I don't want them. I don't have an iPod. For $0.99 per song, they could have sold me a fair number, I think, but I won't buy any unless they are in a good format for me. That mostly means MP3. I could also purchase their files if I can convert them to MP3 and they still sound great. Here is some info about conversion: http://www.bpurcell.org/blog/index.cfm?mode=entry&entry=1036 I don't know anything about how lossy that process is. Mike
