True.
Fraternal (dizygotic) twinning is associated with race (highest in blacks,
lowest in Asians, whites in the middle), maternal age (older women have
more faternal twins) and with fertility treatment.
Identical (monozygotic) twinning is associated only with an invitro
fertilization procedure called "assisted hatching." Otherwise, it is
quite random and has nothing to do with race, maternal age, etc.
