The computer is just being used as a tool to communicate. I would say
that the computer is not part of the problem. It's the relationship
between the father and the son that is the issue.
If my son was using the telephone instead of the computer, would I tape
phone conversations?
If after school I think my son is getting into trouble, I'd make sure that
he had something planned every day of the week after school, so thus he
wouldn't have time to get into trouble...ie. volunteer work, exercising at
the gym, club meetings, soccer team, etc.
