does gentoo normally consume 3 gig of a drive? granted, i do have kde
installed. but, 3 gig?
i'm used to archlinux. without a desktop, my server is at 537 mb. and,
that is everything. postfix, imap/pop, apache, mysql, squid, etc. that
is actually kind of large for an archlinux box.
i want some of my drive space back. :)
one of the reasons i stopped using redhat was due to the size of the
installs. archlinux and gentoo are attractive to me because i can a)
custom build the system, and b) (i thought) they both looked tiny.
gentoo on my laptop is huge.
