It could be useful to do an article on why Asterisk failed for you.
Highlight points in the documentation that are lacking and things like
that. Fuel the developers to address those things while also warning
people to stay away for now. When the developers fix the problem then go
back and do a new article about it. Opensource is all about reputation..
having someone publicly point out your shortcomings has a history of
being an effective method of getting those things fixed. Microsoft's
rigged negative Mindfuk study about Linux certainly made Linux better.
To leave no doubt in people's minds about the falseness of those claims
those issues were repaired many times over until Linux now really kicks ass.
