I think you should publish as much as possible on Linux.com or similar web 
sites instead of just posting things on your own web pages.  That way you 
can develop a list of legitimate publications in your CV/resumé that 
demonstrate your expertise and prove that your opinion is valued by 
experts.  If you just post those papers on your personal pages, and you 
don't publish them on Linux.com, they won't really count for anything and 
they won't enhance your career.
