It isn't that I need to do it, I just like it that way. If I don't keep
up, I'll eventually have tens of thousands of messages in there and if I
want to delete them all, I'll have to take a day off of work to do it!
Right now, with 5,000 messages saved, I am using 141 MB. Yes, there are
attachments in there! It took about 4 months to get up to 160 MB. After
two years, I'll be full and then I'll *have* to delete messages. I'd
rather start now.
gmail offers a good system, but they really want to hold onto my old
messages! I'm sure they do lots of interesting statistical analyses on
these messages, but they don't share the results with me and I don't care
much about helping them.
