Wow.  I was third in line for voters H-Q.  No line for the other
initial letters. :-(  While I was there, a young woman in a tie-dyed
t-shirt and really cute braids came into vote, quite obviously for the
very first time.  She was *mega*-concerned about being in the right
line and was clutching her voter card like a magical talisman.  Ah,
youth...

Meanwhile, the poll worker who lives up the street got to find out
first hand that, yes, the people who bought the old St. John household
were us.  This also got discussed in 2002.  Evidently, she's having a
hard time getting over this fact. :-)

ps--the leaked 2 pm exit polls *if real* and if they hold up, bode ill
for the Weekly Reader kid poll.
