There is one other question that I think needs to be asked as well.
What do you think America's opinion of the war would be if our troops
were once again placed under UN authority. This always has been a
sticking point when these actions take place.

Also our troop moral significantly drops when they are being led by UN
personel. We saw this in Bosnia for instance. Whether this is a large
enough issue to warrant not having UN backing I do not know, but it is
something that could be looked at.
