Well IANAL. :-)
You can get temporary restraining orders for all kinds of interference,
why not for this case?
If the FEC is the body to handle such things, why isn't any thing
happening? And to answer your previous comment about reality, I find you
very combative right now. I find this whole swift boat thing very
surreal, not that I believe they are right. I have never said they are
all 100% right. I don't know if they are or not. Frankly, I don't care
if they are or not. I was agreeing that people find the whole thing
confusing and contradictory. I was just pointing out that the swiftboat
people are not very credible, but they still seam to be throwing a
monkey wrench in the works. If they are so wrong, why isn't any of this
stuff working to keep them out of circulation?
Also, AFAIK, Bush never made comments about McCain, and he apologized
during a public debate for the comments and said he did not agree with
them. It happened to be some Vietnam era extremist that made the
comments in Bush's presence. That's also mentioned on Fact Check, and
the reason that Kerry had to pull that ad. If you ever see this apology,
you can see it is very genuine and heart felt.

Maybe you should attach an "IANAL" to that or tell us a web site that
proves you are correct and not just making stuff up. I think it is not
easy to stop an advertisement because our right to free speech places
the
burden of proof for the accuser, the standard is high, and it takes time

to arrive at a decision.
