Why do you believe that?  Don't you know that the ads were widely seen, 
widely believed, and had a noticable effect on Kerry's popularity?  So 
it's best for him to just let it go?  Why?  That makes no sense to me. 
The statements were utter lies made up by people who were not on Kerry's 
boat and were not witnesses to Kerry's actions.  But Kerry should just 
ignore all of that.  Please!
