Didn't see it.  Miller was a Democrat, and is retiring from the Senate
this year.  He wrote a book earlier this year about how the Democratic
Party had lost its way, etc.  Obviously, he's entitled to his
opinions, but he's been voting with the Republicans on almost
everything for some time now, and admits he probably would have
switched parties if it weren't for the fact that he knew he was going
to retire this year anyway, so there wasn't much point.  The only
wrinkle in this was he did caucus with the Democrats for the purposes
of establishing leadership (I believe), but that might have been
because he really didn't like a couple of people in the Republican
Senate leadership or something.  (Which isn't that far-fetched; Trent
Lott would still be Senate Majority leader today if it weren't for the
fact that some people in his own party weren't willing to stand up for
him when he got himself into a bind.)
