Here's one: 9/11. People are fearful, and fear is encouraged and
maintained by the Bush administration (red alert! red alert!).
Apparently, experts claim that people tend to become very supportive of
their leader when they are afraid of being attacked by enemies. This is
why the Republicans can barely stop talking about 9/11 during their
Convention.
