OK, so my latest Timex Expedition (with indiglo!) has finally bought
the farm.  (One knob is missing, my manly sweat has corroded the base
metal bevel, and the broken band can't be replaced because one of the
"prong" thingies is twisted.)

What I need, before the beginning of the school year, is a watch that
makes the only fashion statement that you folks have any expertise
with, which is why I ask your help.  This watch must say:

     I am a geek.  So much geekier than you, that you should bow down to
me.  
     Right now, please. I'm waiting, you technology-impaired little
git, and my watch's
     blinken lights only entertain me for a few seconds.

OK, so the statement need not be that strong, but you get the picture.
 So I've looked at your USB watches (hot!).  Also your 138 LED watches
(very hot, but too expensive!)  And your more plain jane Indiglo
models.  These days, I am even willing to leave the analog world if I
could get 4 or more event timers with a decent interface.  But I
really do like the idea of USB.  I also like the idea of a built in
laser pointer, but that's not a feature I've seen yet.

Anyway, please feel free to make suggestions.   There's no way I'm
spending more than $100-something on this item unless it is truly
spectacular.
