I essentially see this as more MS FUD for the simple reason that all of 
these companies, IBM probably most of all, have huge patent portfolios. 
They are akin to large nuclear stockpiles, because once one company 
fires the first volley, everyone's going to start throwing their lawyers 
into the fray.

MS is beefing up their portfolio, but I personally doubt they'll have 
the balls to take on IBM or Novell headon in a patent fight.
