As I understand it, most birth-control pills prevent the egg from being
fertilized in the first place. I understood only "morning after" pills
terminated a fertilized egg. But yes, if the egg is fertilized I believe there
is life. Terminating that life fits my definition for murder.
That said, those are my beliefs. As for public policy . . . I'm comfortable
banning PBAs after the fetus is considered viable. I believe this is where
science can agree life begins. Prior to that I'm not comfortable imposing my
religious beliefs (life at conception) on others - I will trust God to handle
those cases.
I happen to believe that case of danger to the mothers life or extreme illness
in the fetus is up to the doctor - as you said before - doctors make life/death
decisions every day - let them do their job.
