I'm not sure how you want me to think of them. Should I pretend that they
are something they are not? They are not part of a community, loved by
friends and family. They are not people.

I'm sure he'd love to overturn it but he's pretty busy with other things
right now. I don't believe you are right about the 'forever' idea. A
vote is a complex decision. A senator may vote for something he opposes
because he sees the vote as the lesser of two evils.
