OK, good. Sounds like things have changed around some. I am willing to
spend a bit more on a car if I've received very good service.
Unfortunately, the BMW dealer that gave us exceptional service wanted
about $1,500 more, so that wasn't something I could justify.

Diesel engines are much better now and produce *far* fewer particulate
emissions due to electronic engine controls.

I have a feeling that you'd probably prefer the Passat's ride over the
6's ride. Personally, I like stuff dialed in on the sporty side, which
is why I got the sport package with the Yuppie Family Transport Unit
(TM).
Interestingly, the 325 wagon has proved to be an excellent kid transport
vehicle so far. Just the right amount of room, economy and driving fun
for the parents. Not to mention you can get a fussy baby to someplace
where you can nurse him that much faster with the sport package. ;)

Likewise. We used to go camping, but with the infant, no more.
