Well the incident I had in mind involved setting up a store in a
shopping center in a relatively rural area (the details escape me).
When they can't get the land owner to sell the whole complex to them
they shut down the store. Eighteen months down the road all the small
businesses in the complex have failed and are gone so they buy it at a
rock bottom price and then expand and reopen the store.
Not exactly Bush's "Axis of Evil" but still ...
