I can see that. They do express contempt for open source and especially
for the GPL.

I've been reading more and more lately about corporations moving everyone
to Linux on the desktop to save money. Workers usually use only a few
apps and they don't care about the OS.

I think most of it should be easy. I should just sit down someday and
figure out what I need. One silly thing that's slowing me down: I'm used
to using the calendar program on Solaris. What does Linux have? (we
might start a separate thread on this, if you want to answer)

Now I understand. I think it's happening in India too, so MS has really
tried to work with them. I don't think it will work. India will also go
to Linux as will all of the third world, or so it seems to me. Think
about it -- Linux is better and it's free. So MS Windows works better
with devices like digital cameras, but we're talking about people who
can't afford such things. So they'll go with Linux. Hmm... If the
Chinese don't use the devices, we won't be making device drivers for them!
I hope they use lots of devices!
