Remember my complaints about a highly-inaccurate book full of lies and
fabrications? I was reviewing it on Amazon.com. There have been a few
newspaper articles since then and I have put those together with some
letters written by people who were quoted in the book. If interested, you
can check it out here:

I would say that these two articles are most useful:
http://taxa.epi.umn.edu/slater/news/20040402_Times_London.html
http://taxa.epi.umn.edu/slater/news/20040312_Guardian_Buzan.html
The book also made it into Snopes.com urban legend pages:

The last few paragraphs are about the book.
I was interviewed by a reporter from NY Times today. They are looking
into this too. They were a bit slow, if you ask me. Maybe that's because
Slater was doing some work for them! (I think she did an OK job for NY
Times - maybe because they have fact checkers there and she knew better
than to try to pull a Jayson Blair on them.)
