For all I know, you may treat cockroaches with the same respect you do humans. Not the point here at all. The law does discriminate here, and throws you in jail if you're exercising your alcoholic practices in a public place.

You have never dealt with an alcoholic if you actually believe that.

You missed the point entirely. The point is that by the same measure that homosexuals are "entitled" to anything as a group, so are these two groups. None of them really has a claim to special treatment. Asking that terminology be redefined on your whim, or that the law support your social movement is asking for special treatment.
