- Thread-topic: [MLUG - DISCUSSION] southpark speaks the truth
I don't discriminate against alcoholics; I've known some people who I
think were just physically wired for drinking. They didn't do it for
fun, they did it because they felt they had to; like their bodies needed
it. Alcoholics don't generally deny people of their liberties, either.
Drunk driving is stupid - and a crime - and it endangers other people.
Alcohol is not illegal, and I pity the people addicted to it. Some
people do choose to be drunks, and there's no denying that. That's just
pathetic, and I can attest to how it feels. Personal experience, all
that.
People who steal/rob other people are criminals, as outlined by the law
as well as the 10 commandments, if that's your judgement stick. Some
people choose to steal and some people see no other course of action.
Those who choose to steal purposely deny others of their rights and/or
their property. However, most people aren't sociopaths and can reform
themselves if given the impetus. I'm a realist, and I know this isn't
normally how things work out, but I'm an optimist at heart and I truly
believe it.
I just fail to see how homosexual marriage will hurt anyone. If two
people care about each other and it doesn't affect most people
personally, what's so wrong about it?
