I think the issue of 'blame' is interesting. There have been problems
between Catholics and Jews in Eastern Europe partly because many Catholics
there have long believed that "the Jews killed Jesus." Maybe I'm
misunderstanding something, but I thought that (according to Christian
theology) Jesus was *supposed* to die on the cross and it was all part of
God's master plan. So, if that is correct, why does it matter who killed
him? That said, wasn't it the Romans and not the Jews?
