The same thing has been happening with other airlines.
The funniest (or sickest) thing is that the airline companies constantly
claim to be on the verge of failing. Therefore, they say, they need
government support to keep going. If they fail, it would be bad for the
economy. Then, after scamming the government for some billions of
dollars, the CEOs take big raises because, hey guys, great scam! Why
bother scamming the government if you can't get a big raise for yourself?
