I like New Orleans, too. I would probably get a fatty liver and
weigh 400 pounds, but there you go.
Alas, Michael, the State Farm plant^H^H^H^H^Hoffice that is closing
is in Monroe, which is half-way between Shreveport and Jackson, MS.
More like southern Arkansas than the Big Easy.
My theory on why they closed that center was that the executives in
charge, who hang out in Clayton, MO, was that it was fine to have
back office stuff in Columbia, just a mile or two from their season
tickets to Mizzou games. Tulsa was a bearable flight by commercial
airliner. And Monroe was...man, that place is in the middle of
nowhere.
This was not a very tough game of "spot the loser".
