I guess I'll have to try it, then. As I mentioned in another note,
the location has some...issues.

I find it interesting to see how wide a variety of opinion there is
concerning chinese restaurants. Also how in Columbia there are a
number of Chinese restaurants that, uh, aren't.

So others have recommended the House of Chow and Formosa, but I
really and truly have never been very impressed with those. I'm
pretty sure one of the best meals I've had in Columbia was a lunch
special at Chinese Wok Express (whose motto I guess is: "our food
had better be really good because our decor and atmosphere are
absent". But that's really a Vietnamese place. Similarly, the
"Mandarin Express" (next to the Regency downtown on Broadway) is a
Korean restaurant; does anybody really order Chinese food there?

On a not very related note, people who want to buy international
groceries should check out the new World Harvest International food
store on Monterey (opposite Peachfong, next to the new dollar store
in the ugliest strip mall in Columbia). They had all kinds of stuff
I haven't seen around here before, including the Lithuanian rye
bread I grew up with.
