I can see that in practice. You're in Wal-Mart late one night considering if it's worth $3.95 for some molded plastic that you think you need. All of a sudden, the price disappears off the shelf, and is replaced with $4.50 and a "rollback" sign. ;-)
This would also be more practical for the changable picture idea than the LCD monitors. If any of you recall "Earth, Final Conflict" this makes their "globals" (PDA + video phone) possible.
