Some of the rooms might get cheaper, yes. And the trashier rooms
will probably be forced out of the mix. So if I were visiting
Columbia, I guess I'd be thrilled. But I live her, so if developers
are going to throw money at a market of dubious size or strength, I
would rather see something *I'd* use. :-)
More seriously, the usual problem with building booms is that they
can lead to serious busts, and as a homeowner, I don't want to see
that. I also don't want to see the dessicated remains of the Ramada
Inn rusting away for years a la the Biscayne Mall.
