Just a little update.. this service still hasn't attempted to charge me
anything and is working very well. Free web, dns, and email hosting. PHP
and MySQL are provided. PHP does have some limitations (compiled as
CGI?) but they probably wouldn't be noticed by anyone not doing weird
stuff like I'm doing. They have a lot of useful modules compiled into
PHP even. 500Mb of space to work in. Very generous bandwidth limitations.
Their automated system for setting things up is having a little trouble
with one of my domains. It's working perfectly but their system thinks
it's broken and sent me an email saying that it'll be deleted in about a
week if it isn't fixed. The problem seems to be that I'm using my
registars own nameservers and the website is pointing to my MLUG account
but I'm using their server for email. It was easy enough to setup and
works fine but their program isn't recognizing that it's cool and wants
to fix it. I sent an email to their support to see about getting the
problem straightened out. I'll let you know how helpful they are.
Anyway, I'm very pleased so far and would suggest everyone that might be
interested sign up now because the offer expires in a few days.
