So, do unto others as you would have them do unto you? Once again,
Nice. Wishing bad things to happen to people isn't a whimsical wish.
Working for postive change is much nicer. Hey, I disagree with lots of
folks, but I work to tell them why I believe what I do, not wishing bad
things would happen to them.
Bad things may be acceptable to wish on people like cannibalistic mass
murders, child molesters, rapists, Saddam Hussein (much as I disagree
with the reasons for going to war, the world is a far better place
without him) or anyone who's harmed you or your family. Not someone
whose political viewpoints you disagree with.
And what's wrong with the ads? $87 billion could have insured a lot
more children, improved our schools, funded public transportation, or
done some positive change in the middle east, like give Pakistani
children a safe place to go, become educated and get three squares a
day. Long term, that'd do a whole lot more to make more friends than
enemies.
