OK, don't bother to read this; I just wanted something to point to
if I'm right on this. Really; you don't care about this. Sorry...
People have been wringing their hands in Columbia recently
concerning the impending decision by State Farm on how to
restructure their regional operations centers. I recently found out
that the executives who are in charge of this decision (and who will
be in charge of the centers State Farm retains) are in Clayton. The
cynical prediction I will make is therefore that Columbia will be
spared or even favored for expansion, since the logistics of dealing
with Columbia from Clayton are so vastly easier than reaching out to
*both* Tulsa and Monroe, Louisiana.
