Ok, so I've got some questions about vision and memory - if your 
students are being quiet today maybe this will fill that little void in 
your life :)

1.  Is it OK to call you "Jon"?  That's my brother's name so if not, 
sorry - it is just a habit :)

2.  Why is it that when I can't remember a title or person's name, I can 
usually remember the number of words as well as the letters with with 
they start and sometimes end not not the actual words themselves?

3.  Is there a clinical reason why some people are better with faces and 
names?

4.  Has anyone yet figured out how much of traditionally-measured 
"intelligence" (like, the kind they try to measure with IQ tests) is 
related to an individual's abilities in pattern recognition?

5.  Are there different "types" of pattern recognition?
