I disagree. Compared to the people you surround yourself with, you may find yourself feeling limited in your range of knowledge, as I have many times here, but just given the wide range of knowledge you've shown here, and your competence with it (in this case, not only knowing a tid-bit you read in a book, but actually applying it in detail to a question completely outside your field), Mike is right. Its rare that you find a well rounded intellect these days. Most are like my family, well rounded in the basics of life, but without much intellectual interest in any field. Thats why I use discussion lists like this one, I can't talk about the dynamics of traffic with my parents or many of my friends, they blow it off as the "Highway department's problem". Everyone has an area of specialization, but unlike so many others, you expand beyond that.

Of course, I think most people on this list do also, but you did so in an impressive way with your traffic analysis.
