When I drove over there in the summer of 2002, I noticed that I had to be
very careful when I went to pass a car. I was going about 90 mph. I'd
look in my side-view mirror to see if it was safe to pass and see a car
far behind me in the passing lane, but then I'd have to wait a second and
look again. Sometimes they'd be going about 150 mph and they would come
up on me very fast. I had to think differently about cars that were "far
behind" me because they could be right on top of me in just a couple of
seconds.
