I probably wouldn't want to spend the time doing that myself (partly
because I am quite incompetent in C programming.  It would be nice if
keystrokes were configurable in the .nanorc as they are in .emacs.

I would be even more interested in changing keystrokes in the pine source.
Has anyone ever worked on that?
