I'm guessing not. Slashdot gets so many submissions that they
reject almost everything not directly submitted by an editor. Your
article would have to be supremely buzz-word compliant to have a
chance even if dozens of "excellent karma" types all submitted it.

Ha ha ha! Look, maybe nobody would talk about doing it or brag
about doing it, but it's certainly the case that lots of people try
to get their friends to get their articles posted. Of course,
there's another group who are less than pleased when somebody links
to them, and their server is reduced to a puddle of liquid silicon
and magnetic scraps by the subsequent traffic.

I see no real chance that this would ever be accepted unless there's
somebody there who is just completely fascinated by cache memory
design. And even then, they would probably only post it if it came
from Ars Technica or something.
