As you guys know, I am a partner in a tech website called
Fastsilicon.com. We've got a new processor cache article that we just
put up, and I've been thinking about ways to promote new articles when
they come along. Of course, the name of the game is getting linked to -
by the biggest sites you can convince to do so.
So here's what I'm wondering...since Slashdot is pretty much the holy
grail where this sort of thing is concerned, can a guy more-or-less
"guarantee" a post with a large number of unique submissions? Before
anyone bitches - yes I'm being very blatant with my motives here...but
maybe you would still like to help? To my knowledge this sort of thing
hasn't really been tried before.
What I'd ask you to do is, go check out the article - then submit an
item to Slashdot regarding the piece. The link to the article is:
http://www.fastsilicon.com/showarticle.php?a=33
If nothing else, maybe you'll learn something :) Also, to get some
useful results from this experiment, I'd appreciate it if you'd email me
off-list if you do make a submission...that way I have some idea as to
the numbers...
