Agreed. The cop said they were patrolling by the schools heavily (pointing to the high school on the far side of LU's football field). Interestingly enough though, he was still hanging around the college when I left, and there was never a day when I didn't see someone pulled over on the 'gateway' road through campus.

Another note. I've gotten two tickets in my life. That one on Cherry St. running through LU's campus, and one on the highway right in front of MSHP's Troup I. The one on the highway I deserved, but what they have in common is that both times my answer to "where were you headed" was to a college as a student. All other times I've been pulled over I was heading home or to work, and was given a warning. (except the time I forgot to put those little inspection stickers on my plate - the officer was just concerned they might have been stolen, and didn't even chastise me for it)
