Interestingly enough, I might mention that Mac's as a general rule hold 
their value MUCH better.  i.e. a G3 Powerbook that I'd bought, 2 years 
later I sold for about 50% of its value.  Now, even 5 years down the 
road, it still would sell at least at 25 or 30% of its value.  Granted, 
that's a laptop, and laptops generally hold their value better, but 
even old Apple desktop machines are still selling for quite a bit.  
i.e. a G4 PowerMac which is what, 3 or 4 years old?  Something along 
those lines, is still selling for about 1/3 of its price when it was 
top of the line new.
