[MLUG - DISCUSSION] ADSL in Columbia

Well, my parents are considering upgrading from their dialup to high-speed
Internet access if I can justify the higher price to them.  They live
outside the city limits so cable is not an option, but I believe ADSL is.
I've looked at Tranquility and their ADSL service starts at $54.99 a
month.  Is that roughly the price everyone is paying these days or are
there cheaper ADSL services?

I know SBC in conjunction with Yahoo has an ADSL promotion going on where
you can get ADSL for $26.95 a month, but unfortunately SBC is not in the
Columbia area.
